Who she is

Maylene Cavazos, raised in Boise, Idaho, graduated from Colgate University and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology with a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology. While managing bipolar II, she became an Information Technology professional and started a business making six-figures before the age of 30. She jumped off the corporate ladder and became a Wim Hof Method instructor. She taught people how to embrace the cold and the uncomfortable, and followed suit by doing everything she could to push herself mentally, physically, and spiritually. She went on medicine journeys with psilocybin, MDMA, and ayahuasca, completed 96 hikes of Portland, OR, experimented with polyamory, learned Reiki, tracked and viewed her cervix for 28 days, met spirits, saw aliens, lived in her van, and wrote a memoir about her 33-Day self-exile in the woods. Now she is back on the jungle gym of corporate IT, enjoying the stable life, and distributing her writing on elemental confidence to incarcerated youth.

What she does

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. ― Maya Angeloue

The frustrating, the funny, the ugly, the sad, the rage, the bliss – all of it is part of the dance of life I’m here to live. I hope you receive the medicine that lies in the dark, light, and everything in between. I’ve written a memoir about my 33-Day journey into the woods of Colorado. Sign up for my newsletter to receive updates on its release.

I write in the form of Tia G, the wise woman who answers life questions. You can ask Tia G your anonymous question –> here.

It started in high school debate. Now, I enjoy discussing and sharing the wisdom I’ve gathered over time and through tough experiences. My hope is by reading and listening, you transcend the suffering and experience freedom.

mental health support

I know what it’s like to want to die.

We aren’t alone. We take care when we take care of each other.

I actively evolve my lifestyle to ensure joy and fulfillment while living with the diagnosis of bipolar II.

I consider myself healthy and thriving. I believe it is possible for many people with mental health issues to do the same.

I am not afraid of the Dark. The Dark saved me. I listen and encourage. Like the Dark, I remain silent and give presence.

If you ask for it, I offer practical wisdom, speaking the reasons why I decide to wake up each day and live.

I’m good at helping people identify goals and create reasonable action plans, spotting process flows that could be improved, communicating complex concepts in simple words and diagrams, organizing teams, and brainstorming expansion ideas.

My practical training includes a Master’s Degree in Organizational Psychology with an emphasis on effectiveness and efficiency, owning three small businesses, working as a project manager for over a decade, and being a big sister to three siblings. My character development includes intense meditation, emotional trauma, divorce, bipolar, and nearly dying.

why be one thing when you can be many?

I am a fierce compassionate human. Assertive, driven, organized, bold, generous, and curious.

If you have an idea and think I’d be a good fit with your team for a project, let’s meet and see if there is chemistry.

I only work on projects that actively work toward equality, honor the Earth, and speak the truth.
